Teddy Johnson 

 

 

Teddy Johnson's paintings play with the traditions of Western Art to explore storytelling, history, perception, and culture. He has had solo shows in MD, VA, GA, and NYC.  In 2013/2014 fourteen of his paintings were exhibited at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. His paintings have been featured in the Korean Magazine: Art People, as well as the Urbanite and Baltimore Style Magazine. Teddy has curated shows in Baltimore, MD and Brooklyn, NY with the Rotating History Project, which he co-founded with Heather Rounds in 2010. They are working on an upcoming show in partnership with the Clermont Foundation and The Virginia Department of Historic Resources "The Clermont Forum II", which will debut in Spring 2014 in Clarke County,VA. His education includes a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, a MFA from The Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia, and two semesters of study in Cortona, Italy. He is a VA native based in Baltimore MD.
